Hi everybody ?
We continue to discover for you. Our container house on today’s tour is from USA.
This tiny container home is built out of a re-purposed 20′ shipping container built by CargoHome based in Waco, Texas!
FEATURES
- 160-sqft
- Built from a re-purposed 20′ x 8′ shipping container
- The exterior is clad in shou sugi ban (charred cedar to seal and protect it) and features an incredible 160-sqft rooftop deck!
- Spacious interior features white shiplap walls, a handful of windows, and the original double front doors that have been converted to full-light entry doors!
- The living room is a flex-space that features a murphy bed that converts from a couch to a bed in seconds, also functioning as the sleeping space
- Past the living area is the small kitchenette, which features 8′ of counter top, a small sink, a small fridge, a microwave, coffee maker, and a long dining bar top for 2
- At the end of the shipping container home is the bathroom, which includes a small vanity and sink, a flush toilet, and a subway tile shower
- Because it was built to serve as a short-term rental, it lacks a few items for full-time living, such as a cooktop or oven, a washer/dryer combo unit, and a bit more storage space for clothes and other items
